XML.com: Google's Gaffe. Paul Prescod explains why Google's new SOAP API felt to many like "one step forward and two steps back." He describes how Google could offer a Web-compatible API, that returns XML and HTML results in a form that's even easier to use than SOAP. He's also started a petition asking Google for such an API.
